Claire Cillon and I wanted to let you know about the services provided on 2 April by Office Porter Services during our move from the Gillibrand offices into Chorley Town Hall. The two young men arrived on time, assessed the number and size of items to be moved and made really quick work of loading the van. In the meantime, Claire and I walked over to the Town Hall to check on the office and stake out a parking space for the van. When we arrived, we found that the office was still full of furniture (desk, table, chairs, filing cabinets, etc) and the Town Hall staff under the impression that we were not to arrive until 2:30pm. The man who could organise moving the furniture out was not due to return for 40 minutes. When the van arrived, the two porters had a look at the office and let us and the Town Hall staff know that they needed to adhere to quite a strict time schedule as they had several jobs to complete. They phoned their head office and this was confirmed. While the Town Hall staff dithered, the two porters calmly and good-naturedly moved all of the furniture out of the office and brought it out into the lobby. They then moved all of our stuff into the office. The job was finished well within their schedule and we were able to have our computers ready for when Chorley Borough Council and LCC ICT staff arrived at 2:30 to set us up. Claire and I were so impressed by the porters. They had such a positive attitude and, faced with a situation where they could quite easily have said, "This is not our problem", they set to and got the job done with smiles on their faces. Claire and I think that their company should be informed of the excellent service they provided and we would be grateful if you could help us pass this message on to them.

I have used the services of Steve and Office Porterage Services for over three years and have no complaints whatsoever.
